The collapsible stock, pistol grip and magazine body are manufactured by DSS using its own injection mould, thus providing a competitive advantage as DSS is fully independent of commonly used suppliers of plastic parts. DSS uses only the highest quality materials in accordance with Czech State Norms for plastic components for extreme climatic conditions and mechanical wear, thus ensuring that these parts do not crack under any circumstances.

The integrated rear sight allows the operator to use the full length of the receiver for a variety of accessories.

The fluted barrel ensures better cooling when shooting longer bursts. Currently we offer either carbonitrided or chrome lined barrels to maximize service life.

The DSS muzzle brake provides more stable weapon handling even when shooting while standing or in non-standard positions.

The picatinny rail can be positioned at 3, 6 or 9 o‘clock, allowing the operator to mount all necessary accessories to make every mission successful.

DSS uses precise CNC milling machines to cut all feed-trays, giving them much greater durability than commonly used cold stamped trays made from sheet metal.

The PZD stock’s retaining pins system makes it very easy and fast to disassemble the PZD without losing the pins as well as preventing any accidental release.

The PZD 556 light machine gun is a fully automatic weapon that provides crucial fire support for team or operator. It is carried and operated by single operator, and when needed can be mounted in mil-spec cradles and perform a limited range of tasks as a universal machine gun. The weapon fires from an open bolt, the breech is locked by the rotating bolt and unlocked by a screw slide, which is carried to the rear by the action of the piston carrier which is pushed by the propellant gases.
